
Mythili Thirunavukarasu

Mythili Thirunavukarasu was born and raised in Selangor. During her academic journey, she had the opportunity to undertake an internship at a reputable law firm, where she conducted research and gained practical experience in the legal field. In 2017, she was honoured with the Top Student’ award for the Law of Tort during her LL.B from her college. In 2018, she attained her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) Honours degree from the University of London. Thereafter, Mythili acquired a Professional Diploma in International Arbitration.
She was privileged to have had the opportunity to complete her pupillage in one of the largest law firms in Malaysia, where part of her responsibilities was handling foreign portfolios under the Intellectual Property department. This role allowed her to delve into the intricacies of intellectual property laws and gain expertise in protecting and managing intellectual assets in a global context.
Additionally, she had the unique opportunity to actively participate in recce and raids conducted to combat the proliferation of counterfeit goods. These experiences provided valuable insights into the enforcement side of intellectual property laws and the challenges faced in safeguarding the rights of creators and businesses.
Upon completion of her pupillage, she was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya, after which she continued to further her knowledge by obtaining a Postgraduate Certificate in Laws (Medicine and the Law) from the University of London.
Continuing her quest for personal and professional growth, she is pursuing her Master of Laws (LL.M) and embarked on learning the Mandarin language. This decision stems from her recognition of the increasingly interconnected world we live in, where proficiency in languages like Mandarin can foster effective communication and collaboration across diverse cultures and markets.
Through these experiences and pursuits, she has developed a strong foundation in law, she is excited to leverage these skills and knowledge to contribute meaningfully in the intellectual property field, while constantly expanding her horizons to adapt to the evolving demands of the global landscape.
Her passion outside of law consists of animals, music and dance, specifically the Indian classic dance (Bharatanatyam). She also enjoys watching movies and reading books (fictional).
She speaks fluently in English, Malay and Tamil.
